Microsoft's Power Point program allows you to save the documents into various multi-media files besides the default Power Point Slide file (.PPT). If you have Microsoft's Power Point 2000 you will notice that if you click on the File -> Save As menu, you can save your slides in the following file formats that FlipAlbum supports:

JPG, BMP, GIF, WMF, TIFF and PNG

If you have FlipPublisher, you can import the above multi-media formats plus HTML, RTF and DOC.

However, not all file types will provide you with great results. Luckily for you, we have gone ahead and done all the tests and recommend the following:

If you would like to import a Power Point Slide into FlipAlbum, both the TIFF and WMF file format provide you with the best results. However, there is a major difference in size between the two formats. If you use the TIFF format, the file size can be 10 times larger than the WMF format.

In regards to FlipPublisher, you have three other options in importing your Slides. The first option is to save the slide as a HTML document. The entire slide will be brought into the FlipPublisher program and will even include the toolbars that allow you to navigate through your slides. The second option is to save your slides in the RTF format. However, only the text will display and your images will not be included. The third option is to export the PowerPoint slides (including Notes) into Microsoft Word by clicking on the File -> Send To -> Microsoft Word... menu. This will save your slides in the DOC format, which FlipPublisher supports, and will retain all of your notes and even display your images.

Now that you know how to import your Power Point Slides into FlipAlbum or FlipPublisher, you can now easily share them in a more interactive format via CDs or on the web as FlipBooks. Enjoy!
