Have
you ever wanted to include high quality images with your album so that
your friends, family or even your clients can save, edit or even print
the images? However, you have been hesitant to do so because of resource
constraints on your viewer's PC? Well here is a tip that will help you
maximize the performance of your Album CD on any PC, without having to
sacrifice the quality of your images. |
| |
|
|
| |
|
| 1. |
Create
two folders, one with high resolution images and another containing
low resolution images. |
| 2. |
Proceed
to create your album with the low resolution images. |
| 3. |
Link
the high resolution images by doing a right mouse click on the
low resolution image within your album, and select "set link". |
| 4. |
Click
on the browse button and locate the corresponding high resolution
image and select open. |
| 5. |
Click "ok" and
you should now have a mouse pointer with an arrow and finger pointing
to the right whenever you place the mouse on top of the linking
object. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
|
Repeat
steps 1-5 for all of the images that you would like to link high resolution
images to. You might also want to create an annotation that states "Click
here to view images at high resolution" and then link the high resolution
image to the annotation instead of the low resolution image.
Once you have completed the above process, proceed to create an album
CD. When your viewers view the Album CD on their PC, they will be able
to easily
flip through the album without having to wait long periods of time for
the images to load. If they decide to click on the high resolution image
link, it should automatically launch their default image editing program.
From there, they can save, edit or even print the high quality image. |
