The “Invalid Image” and “Invalid Page” errors are results of FlipAlbum not being able to find the files that make up your album. These files can take two forms: either image files, or .flp files (created when changes are made to a page). These types of errors are most common when you move or rename an image from its original location using Microsoft Windows. They also occur when you make changes to a FlipAlbum and do not save the changes.

For example, say you created an album named “myalbum.opf”. You then open this album and rename one of the image files from 001.jpg to 001a.jpg. However, when you close the album, you elect not to save changes. When you next open the album, FlipAlbum will look for the image 001.jpg. Since you have renamed this image, FlipAlbum will not be able to find it, and will then display the “Invalid Image” error message.

To remove the "Invalid Image" error message, flip to the "Invalid Image" page, do a right mouse click on the page and select "Multi-Media Object...". Browse to the location where 001a.jpg image is stored and perform a drag and drop to the "Invalid Image" object. Click "Yes" when prompted to replace the object. You may resize the image accordingly. Do a “File -> Save" or “File -> Save As Complete Book, complete (*.opf file + contents)" for all your created albums.
To remove the “Invalid Page” error message, flip to the Table of Contents of the album. Right click on the entry for the page that gives you the error, and select “Information”. The window will display the filename and directory FlipAlbum is looking for the .flp file in. At this point, you may close FlipAlbum. Using Microsoft Windows Explorer, navigate to the proper directory. If you had renamed the page without saving, locate the proper .flp page and then rename it to the old filename FlipAlbum is looking for. If the .flp file is missing completely, you may need to delete the page from your album and recreate the page.

To avoid these types of problems, you can take these precautionary steps:
1) When inserting images, always opt to "Insert As Copy”.
2) Always save your FlipAlbum when you are done working with it.
3) Perform a regular "File -> Save As... with Save as type: Book, complete (*.opf file + contents)" operation to help keep all of your FlipAlbum items in a single location.
