FlipAlbum Suite and Pro editions currently support exporting to either a .AVI file or a .MPEG1 video file. You may either choose to create a Video CD of these files, or use a third-party video editing tool to convert the .AVI file to MPEG2 format before burning it to a DVD. Note that audio will not be exported to .AVI files and you may instead use a third-party video editing tool to add the background music before burning to DVDs.

In order to convert your .AVI file to DVD, first ensure that you have exported the video file correctly. To export your album to a .AVI file, click on the CD Maker -> Export Album for TV Viewing menu. Select the AVI Format radio button, as well as the location to save your .AVI file, before clicking OK. You may then set your page flipping intervals, select NTSC or PAL TV system, as well as a Compression option, either Uncompressed or Compressed. After making your selection, click Convert to complete the process.

After creating your .AVI file, there are many third-party tools that can assist you in converting the .AVI file to MPEG2 format. PC users may consider using Roxio’s CD/DVD Creator 6.0, Nero 6 Ultra Edition, Roxio’s VideoWave Power Edition 5, or ULEAD’s DVD Movie Factory, while MAC users may consider Roxio’s Toast Titanium 6.
